Jessica Sousa

RAND Corporation, Senior Policy Analyst

Jessica Sousa is a senior policy analyst at the RAND Corporation, a nonprofit research organization. As a licensed clinical social worker and public health practitioner, her research centers on behavioral health care, telehealth policy and implementation, and patient experiences with care. She has over a decade of experience in using qualitative and mixed-method approaches to conduct data collection and analysis, including through semi-structured interviews with patients and providers and in partnership with peer councils comprised of individuals with lived experience receiving services. Since 2018, she has partnered with RAND colleagues on a number of studies of patient and provider experiences with telebehavioral health, remote patient monitoring, and other digital health technologies; both in civilian and military treatment settings. Jessica is most passionate about engaging in research that seeks to advance health equity and improve patient experiences with health care.
